6:00 PM, Arcata Library's 'A Novel Idea' Book Group Reads 'The Water Dancer' by Ta-Nehisi Coates

Thursday, January 28, 2021

Ta-Nehisi Coates' debut novel comes on the heels of his National Book Award-winner 'Between the World and Me', and tells the dramatic story of young Hiram Walker, his magical gift, devastating loss, and daring plan to escape the horror of slavery and rescue family left behind. The Water Dancer is a mystical work that in the words of the proud publisher, Penguin / Random House, 'returns the humanity to those from whom everything was stolen'.
