1:00 p.m., Eureka Library Historical Lecture, The Eureka Theater at 80

Saturday, December 7, 2019

Chuck and Wendy Petty discuss the history of the Eureka Theater, its founder George Mann, his original plans and his eventual building of the theater in 1939. Since 2005, Chuck and Wendy have been behind the restoration of this fine Streamline Moderne structure back to its original grandeur. A dedicated core of volunteers helped make the renewal of this beautiful Eureka landmark happen.

'An Electrifying Shock!' reads the Eureka Theater marquee in one historical photo.   The Eureka Theater is 80!

Learn about the building of the Eureka Theater in 1939, and the current restoration of its original grandeur.
