1:30 p.m., Eureka Library, Barry Evans Travel Talk, Rwanda, Beyond Genocide

Saturday, August 10, 2019

In this illustrated talk based on his recent volunteer assignment in Rwanda, Barry Evans (Field Notes columnist for the North Coast Journal) will share his own experiences, as well as telling us how that country has dealt with the aftermath of the 1994 genocide in which nearly a million people died, and how Rwanda is well on its way to becoming 'the Singapore of Africa'. That's to say, a success!
