Time Details:
This movie and speaker series is planned for the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m. The Core is 2 hours and 15 minutes long, and rated PG-13 for intense violence and strong language. Common Sense Media's expert review suggests that 2003's 'The Core' is best for viewers 14 and up and that the film is a "a big, dumb, explosion movie." The film is 136 minutes long. After the film, seismologist Lori Dengler will be on hand to answer your earth science questions.

In this disaster film, the earth's core has halted its normal rotation. Now the earth's magnetic field is at risk, dooming the planet. No one knows the cause of this disaster, but a team of scientists led by Dr. Josh Keyes (Aaron Eckhart) plan a descent to the core itself in a desperate effort to restart the spin. This movie and speaker series is planned for the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m.
