December 8, 2018
1:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Time Details:
This movie and speaker series is planned for the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m. Common Sense Media's expert review suggests that Twister is appropriate for ages 14 and up. There's some adult language and plot elements around divorce and remarriage, lots of cursing, and lots of nature's violence. The film is nearly two hours long and was made in 1996.

1:00 p.m. Eureka Library, Dumb Movies with Smart People, Twister! with Ryan Alward.

Saturday, December 8, 2018

The first film in this monthly series is Twister, a disaster adventure film about scientists chasing tornadoes to create a better storm warning system. After the film, stay for a Q&A with local Warning Coordinating Meteorologist, Ryan Alward. Ryan will answer all of your tornado-related questions, tell us more about extreme weather situations, and let us know what the movie got right -- and what it got so, so wrong.

A huge tornado slices through a distant house as a couple runs in panic.
