6:30 p.m., Eureka Library, Family Literacy Night, Family Storytelling Fun

Wednesday, September 19, 2018

Would you like to learn one simple trick to enliven long car trips, help your kids succeed in school, and strengthen family relationships, all while having fun together? By playing with family storytelling you can do that and more! Join Youth Services Librarian Jeanine Lancaster for an evening of storytelling games and activities. Listen to stories, help tell a story, share your favorite stories. We might pull a story out of a bag, write an ad lib story, or create story characters to take home. Each child in attendance may choose a gently-used book from the Humboldt Literacy Project, free, as part of the fun. Family Literacy Night is a monthly series of programs that runs from September to May and features storytellers, musicians, and more. Each session offers fun for families and new tips for storytelling adventures at home.
