6:30 p.m. Eureka Library, Wizard of Oz Celebration, Humboldt Light Opera Company

Wednesday, July 25, 2018

The story of Dorothy, a Kansas girl whose house is caught in a wind storm and lands in the magical land of Oz, has become a classic. With her friends the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and her little dog Toto, Dorothy follows the Yellow Brick Road to the magical Emerald City where they all hope the great Wizard can help them. Come hear an excerpt from the book read by 'the Wizard' himself! Meet characters from the show, join in a sing-along, and craft a set of paper puppets to continue storytelling fun at home. It's all presented by the Humboldt Light Opera Company in celebration of the HLOC's 45th anniversary.
