Tuesday, July 24, 2018

The Day the Earth Caught Fire, based on a screenplay by Wolf Mankowitz and Val Guest, and hosted by Jennifer Fumiko Cahill. London reporters discover that simultaneous nuclear blasts have knocked Earth off its axis and sent it moving towards the sun. As scorching heat and devastating floods plague the planet, cities explode in chaos and humanity is left with one last hope: a final massive detonation that will either re-balance Earth's orbit...or destroy our world forever. Starring Edward Judd, Leo McKern and Janet Munro. Directed by Val Guest.
