Come join us in crafting tissue paper marigold flowers in honor of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) all day in the Eureka Library Children's Room. Marigolds, which are native to Mexico, are traditional decorations to welcome the souls of lost loved ones to the celebration. All ages are welcome, and we have all the supplies you may need. Children under 5 may need help from an adult. When you are done, take your flowers home to use as bright decorations.
Drop-in Marigold Craft for Dia de los Muertos
In honor of el Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), come enjoy this family-friendly craft of making tissue paper marigold flowers.

This Mexican tradition is an annual celebration of the lives of lost loved ones. Marigolds are often used to decorate altars, better known as ofrendas, to welcome the souls of lost loved ones to the celebration. The flowers can also be referred to as Flor de Muerto, or Flower of the Dead. Drop-in any time to celebrate together.
