Public Information

The County Administrative Office maintains a public information function to assist in disseminating valuable information, particularly in times of emergency. Our office staffs this function on a daily basis and provides the following services:

• Acts as a point of contact for county information to assist the news media, citizens, county employees and other local, state and national agencies
• Writes and disseminates county press releases, brochures and other written or visual publications
• Researches and coordinates responses to California Public Records Act requests that involve multiple departments
• Works with staff in developing and maintaining county social media presence
