Workforce Development

Purpose

The goal of the Workforce Development Unit is to develop, coordinate, and integrate resources to provide education and training to staff, clients, parents, families, community partners, and other stakeholders.

Workforce Development

  • Develops, coordinates and combines department resources to provide cross-branch education and training to staff, community partners and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitates the Workforce Development Workgroup to discuss and develop solutions for workforce development needs and opportunities for the entire agency.
  • Administers the DHHS portion of the County Learning Management System, NeoGov Learn. 
  • Provides assistance to staff to implement branch-level trainings in the electronic Learning Management System. 
  • Provides information, guidance, and support to staff to complete County and DHHS-mandated trainings. 
  • Providers of Continuing Education Units for 3 California professional licensing boards: The Board of Behavioral Science (BBS), the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and the California Association for Alcohol and Drug Educators (CAADE).
