Transition to Independence (TIP)

Purpose
Staff at DHHS' Transition-Age Youth (TAY) Division have been trained in the Transition to Independence Process (TIP). The mission of TIP is to assist young people ages 14 to 25 in making a successful transition into adulthood so they achieve personal goals in the areas of employment, education, living situation, personal adjustment, and community life functioning.

Trained transition facilitators work with young people, their parents/care providers, and other informal and formal support people using the TIP model core practices.
