Employee Engagement

Organizations are most successful when staff are engaged and enjoy coming to work.

The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Department of Human Resources at the County of Humboldt recognizes the opportunities and challenges that exist in our workforce, especially in regard to staff engagement. Implementation of feedback and retention programs are long term strategies to address workforce gaps and provide a pipeline of future County employees. 

There is a need to assess, through quantitative research, and create opportunities to empower employees with skills and training. 

The survey contained multiple measures of engagement (cognitive and emotional/behavioral) designed to inform leadership and drive change.
