Small Cell Wireless Facility
Small Cell Wireless Facilities are the next generation of mobile broadband networks (5th Generation or "5G"). They are lower power antennas that cover smaller geographic areas to target where more network capacity is needed. The antenna may only be 3 cubic feet. More details and resources related to small cell facilities can be found in the Wireless Telecommunications Facilities Frequently Asked Questions.

Non-Small Cell Wireless Facility
Non-Small Cell Wireless Facilities include all other generations of mobile broadband networks (1G - 4G). These includes cell towers of all sizes and shapes that typically serve large areas, up to many square miles.
