Project Description: Humboldt County Public Works and the McKinleyville Municipal Advisory Committee are seeking community input to improve safety on Ocean Drive between Hiller Road and School Road in McKinleyville for walking and bicycling. Short-term improvement suggestions are being sought as well as longer term ideas for 2-3 years down the road when the County will have the funding to repave the roadway. The website will be periodically updated. Stay informed and sign up to be automatically notified of updates to this webpage by clicking the subscribe button below. This website is how the community will be notified of news about the project as well as ways in which the community can participate.
10/05/2020 UPDATE: An online survey is available for residents to provide input at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/OceanDrive. The online survey will be available now through 10/31/2020
Also, a virtual community meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. where County officials and the community will take a virtual walk along Ocean Drive observing conditions and participants can share opportunities and ideas. There are two ways to join the meeting:
