The Humboldt County COVID Eviction Prevention Program is available for households that have been unable to pay rent or mortgage on their primary residence due to loss or reduction in employment caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This program is available to households with income under 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI) that have prior rent or mortgage owed up to $5,000 since March 2020.
Verification of identity, income, rental agreement (if applicable) and amount owed is required.
Households within Eureka City limits that meet income requirements for the city’s COVID-19 Assistance Fund will be referred to the city to apply for assistance.
Households that appear income-eligible to the CalWORKs program will be referred to CalWORKs to apply for assistance.
Note: Once an application is submitted, to be considered complete, there are several other documents that will need to be submitted as well.
