Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant - Closes January 13
The State is offering a new COVID-19 relief grant to businesses who have been impacted by COVID-19. Up to $25,000 is available for eligible businesses. The application period for this program closes January 13, 2021 at 11:59 PM PST. For more information please reference the grant guidelines at California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program (careliefgrant.com) or contact the County of Humboldt office of Economic Development at 707-445-7745.
Submit Your Reopening Plan
Local businesses may now apply to reopen on a gradual basis consistent with state and local orders. Businesses already open to the public will be prioritized.

The County of Humboldt Small Business Restart & Recovery Grant (SBRR) provides direct aid to local for-profit businesses, nonprofit organizations, and special districts that have suffered financial hardship as a result of COVID-19.

Should I close my business?
The Humboldt County OES COVID-19 Business Task Force encourages businesses to refer to Section 9.i of the Shelter in Place Order issued by Public Health on March 30, 2020 and which is available online at the County of Humboldt’s DHHS website. You can also access a copy of the order here.
If the nature of your business is not explicitly addressed in the order, or if the language pertaining to your business is unclear, please use your best judgment and self-adhere to the order until more information or guidance is provided to the public. Please be reminded that all businesses, essential or otherwise, are instructed to follow social distancing and safety recommendations as outlined in the order.
