Community Corrections Partnership

Senate Bill 678 (2009) established the Community Corrections Partnership as an advisory body to probation departments developing and implementing evidence-based practices to improve probation outcomes and reduce impacts on prisons related to probation revocations.  The CA Governor’s 2011 Public Safety Realignment created the seven-member CCP Executive Committee (defined in Penal Code Section 1230.1), and expanded the CCP’s role to advising the Executive Committee on matters associated with Realignment.  The Executive Committee is charged with making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors about the local Community Corrections Plan, and overseeing and managing the implementation of the Board-approved Plan.  The CCP and the CCP Executive Committee are chaired by the Chief Probation Officer, each group meets monthly, and the meetings are governed by the Brown Act.
