Children’s Mobile Response Team
The Children’s Mobile Response Team (C-MRT) provides short-term mental health crisis intervention and support to children and their families throughout Humboldt County.
Services include:
- Crisis triage by phone. Behavioral health professionals are available by phone to evaluate, prevent and/or resolve a crisis
- In-person crisis response. If care is needed beyond a phone call, a response team will go to the youth and their family to continue work toward crisis resolution
- Crisis stabilization. Short-term assistance and case management services inside and outside the home
- After care. Referrals for long-term assistance and support may be provided.
Humboldt Bridges to Success
Humboldt Bridges to Success staff work with staff at local public schools to provide short-term, school-based mental health intervention and support to students who are in crisis or at risk of crisis. These services are available to students through 12th grade.
Services include:
- School-based crisis response. Staff work with students, their families and schools to de-escalate and resolve crisis
- Crisis stabilization. Crisis assessment, short-term counseling and case management services
- After care. Referrals for long-term assistance and support may be provided
- Education and training. Designed to increase awareness and ability to recognize the signs and symptoms of behavioral health issues and how to respond.
Services are available and accessible through public schools countywide.

Adult Mobile Response Team
The Adult Mobile Response Team (MRT) assists individuals in gaining access to effective outpatient and crisis services in the least restrictive manner possible, including individuals in a pre-crisis state and those being discharged from inpatient care. The field-based Mobile Response Team engages in proactive case management, peer support and clinical care during and after a mental health crisis.
Services include:
- Crisis triage by phone. Mental health professionals are available to evaluate, prevent and/or resolve a crisis
- In-person crisis response. If care is needed beyond a phone call, a response team will respond in person and work to resolve the crisis
- Crisis stabilization. Short-term assistance and case management services
- After care. Referrals for long-term assistance and support may be provided.
