In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) care provider orientation trainings are offered monthly.
Orientations are held at the Community Wellness Center at 908 Seventh St. in Eureka, California. Scheduled trainings currently include:
April 12, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
April 17, 10 a.m. to noon
April 26, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Providers need to attend only one orientation meeting.
Prior to attending the orientation, participants should pick up, complete and turn in the IHSS Program Care Provider packet in person at the county IHSS Office located at 808 E. St. in Eureka. When turning in their packet, applicants must bring with them a valid, government-issued photo ID and their original social security card.
The orientation will take about 90 minutes and will consist of watching a video and completing required paperwork meeting state-mandated requirements. Attendees need to bring a valid government issued photo ID, such as driver's license, state-issued ID, military ID or passport.
