In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) care provider orientation trainings are offered monthly.
***March 16, 2020 COVID-19 UPDATE: The latest from the Governors briefing today includes recommendations that individuals 65 and older and those with chronic health conditions self-isolate. In an effort to keep our IHSS care providers and recipients safe, we will be cancelling in-person orientations until further notice. We are looking into options for conducting the orientations remotely.***
Orientations are held at the Community Wellness Center at 908 Seventh St. in Eureka, CA.

Providers need to attend only one orientation meeting.
Prior to attending the orientation, participants should pick up, complete and turn in the IHSS Program Care Provider packet in person at the county IHSS Office located at 808 E. St. in Eureka. When turning in their packet, applicants must bring with them a valid, government-issued photo ID and their original social security card.
The orientation will take about 90 minutes and will consist of watching a video and completing required paperwork meeting state-mandated requirements. Attendees need to bring a valid government issued photo ID, such as driver’s license, state-issued ID, military ID or passport.
