Despite revenue increases, revenues are not keeping pace with expenditures as the new Fiscal Year looms. There is a structural deficit in the budget, and this year's proposal includes spending $4.9 million in savings from the General Fund.

District Attorney's Office hires deputy
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is a graduate of UC San Diego and Santa Clara Law School, and she will be assigned a general caseload of felonies and misdemeanors.

Each quarter, agencies that are not part of county government and receive Measure Z funds submit invoices and a report detailing their expenses, as well as challenges and successes they are having implementing their Measure Z-funded projects.
