Suicide Prevention Program

Due to COVID-19, Healthy Communities programs are not providing any community trainings or events at this time. If you are a client of Public Health and wish to speak with your case manager, please contact them directly. Thank you.

If you or someone you know needs immediate help, please contact 911, our local 24-hour crisis line or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

The Suicide Prevention Program is focused on prevention and early intervention for those affected by suicide. Our goal is to prevent loss from suicide through education, intervention training and reducing stigma associated with suicide. As part of the Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services, Healthy Communities Division of Public Health, we are primarily funded by the Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63).
