Community Wildfire Protection Plan Update
Are You Ready for Wildfire? Please consider attending a community workshop to learn more about how to prepare for wildfire and to share your concerns and ideas. There will be 14 workshops throughout the county. Find the one closest to you! Your feedback will be incorporated into the updated Humboldt County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).
As part of the CWPP update process, the County seeking input from Humboldt County residents regarding priorities for preparing vulnerable communities in Humboldt County for the eventuality of wildfire. Go to Open Humboldt and take our survey. We appreciate you participation.
2017 Living with Wildfire Magazine
Under the guidance of the Humboldt County Fire Safe Council, the County of Humboldt, CAL FIRE and Six Rivers National Forest pooled their resources to produce the latest Living with Wildfire in Northwestern California. Please take a look and see what you can learn about being prepared for wildfire.

The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors renews the FSC for another 2 years - At their September 2, 2014 meeting, the Board approved a resolution that extends the Humboldt County Fire Safe Council, a Board appointed committee, for another 2 years.
