The mission of the Humboldt County Law Library is to provide the public with free access to up-to-date, user-friendly, and appropriate legal resources.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - March 16, 2020
The Humboldt County Law Library Closed Due to COVID-19
Effective Monday, March 16, 2020.
Out of an abundance of caution, the Humboldt County Law Library will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC to reduce the risk of community spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The health and safety of Law Library employees and users is our first priority, and therefore, we will continue to monitor information from the Centers from Disease Control and Prevention and the Humboldt County Public Health so the Law Library can respond rapidly as conditions change regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Law Library Staff will be working behind the scenes to provide reference assistance by phone, email, and chat service (employees, contractors, authorized visitors and County Facilities staff will continue to have access to the building).
The public can still access Law Library reference services and other resources through https://humboldtgov.org/138/Law-Library, or call (707) 476-2356 during our regular business hours.
Due dates for checked-out materials will be automatically extended during the closure period. Patrons do not need to return checked-out materials until the Law Library re-opens to the public.
Remote reference assistance via phone and email will be available
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm.
• Email our reference staff to ask questions and fulfill document deliveries at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
• Call us at (707) 476-2356 or text us at (707) 497-8727.
