Celebrate the comedy of Christmas with a free showing of the live-action version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, based on the story by Dr. Seuss, and starring Jim Carrey (rated PG). In this longer version, little Cindy Lou becomes the heroine. The Grinch lives outside of town on his mountaintop and is disliked and feared by all the Whos of Whoville, but Cindy Lou's first meeting with him is different as he happens to save her life. Cindy Lou is curious about the Grinch instead of hostile, and she sets out to discover what happened to him as a youngster and how he became the bitter, angry grump he has become. She then makes it her mission to include him in the joys of Whoville's Christmas celebration, although the town mayor hates this idea, and up to the last moment the Grinch himself is planning on destroying Christmas for all of Whoville. In the happy ending love conquers both greed and bitterness, and all is well in Whoville.
