Month of November, Eureka Library, Children's Calendar Art Exhibit

Sunday, November 5, 2017

The Friends of the Redwood Libraries 2018 Children’s Art Calendar is now available. It can be purchased in the Serendipity Book Store, upstairs in the Eureka Main Library. Artwork by thirteen children represent the cover and months and another twelve have been chosen for the honorable mention pages. Sixty more young artists who participated have received gift certificates to the Serendipity Book Store. In addition to gift certificates, the twenty-five children whose art is featured in the calendar are the featured artists in the show at the Hagopian Gallery during November and December. Stop by to enjoy the original art!

Here's just one of the many wonderful entries for the Friends of the Library Calendar Art Contest.
Zinnia Clifford, age 9, drew this portrait of Beowulf from the book series
The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place.  She drew another favorite character for the calendar cover.
