6:30 p.m., Eureka Library Family Literacy Night, Songs of America with Les Glen

Wednesday, November 15, 2017

America sings! Les Glen brings folk songs to life with his voice and guitar. He weaves little-known stories about well-known songs into a show that spans all the wide-ranging roots of American folk songs. Les grew up singing with his family, and has never stopped. He has toured the United States and other countries, but especially enjoys sharing songs with local audiences in Humboldt County. Each child present can get a free book, new or gently used, as part of the fun -- and to promote family literacy.

Les Glen's cowboy-hatted face crinkles in a smile as he plays his acoustic guitar by a split-rail
