A master storyteller with a voice like buttered honey, Baba Jamal Koram will tell stories from the African tradition and from his own life that speak to the truth in all of our hearts. Baba Jamal enhances his stories with his Mbira, drumming and audience participation. Join the fun!

Master Storyteller Baba Jamal Koram
Baba Jamal Koram is the recipient of the National Association of Blackstorytelling's highest award, the Zora Neale Hurston Award.  He also won the National Storytelling Network's Circle of Excellence Oracle Award.  Baba Jamal has been featured at the Kennedy Center, Smithsonian Museum, National Storytelling Festivals, regional festivals, theaters, museums, outdoor events and schools around the world.  He's a much-loved storyteller here in Humboldt as well!
