Medical & Dental Services
Medical and dental services in the Humboldt County Correctional Facility are provided through a contract with California Forensic Medical Group. Medical and dental services are provided to inmates as needed to maintain their health. Optional and corrective services are not provided.
It is the inmate's responsibility to request medical or dental services. Medical emergencies are given immediate treatment. Inmates with non-emergency medical or dental needs are required to fill out a Medical Request Form.
Inmates may see a private doctor of their choosing. The inmate may make these arrangements with the facility medical staff. The inmate is responsible for paying for the visit in advance. The appointment will be made by the facility's medical staff.
Mental Health Services
Mental health services are provided by the Humboldt County Mental Health Department. Several members of the Mental Health Department are assigned to an office located in the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
