  1. Assessor

    The Assessor's Office appraises secured and unsecured property, prepares tax roll, and keeps records of taxable property.

  2. Auditor-Controller

    The Auditor serves as chief accounting officer in the county.

  3. Clerk-Recorder

    The Clerk-Recorder maintains records of vital statistics and provides assistance to the public regarding land ownership.

  4. Management & Budget

    The County budget details the County's annual revenues and expenditures, and describes various programs run by departments.

  5. Purchasing

    It is the purpose of the Purchasing and Disposition Team to maintain continuity of supplies and services to support county departments enabling them to provide services to the public and to purchase at the lowest cost consistent with the quality and quantity required.

  6. Revenue Recovery

    The Revenue Recovery Team collects court fines as directed by the Superior Court of California, outstanding fees due to the county in association to court cases, victim restitution, and other delinquent fees owed to various county departments.

  7. Treasurer - Tax Collector

    The Treasury Department provides banking and investment services to all county departments as well as Humboldt County’s community college, schools, and special districts.
