  1. CalFresh

    Formerly called food stamps, CalFresh provides eligible households with an electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card that works just like a debit card and can be used at most grocery stores and farmers markets to ensure access to healthy foods.

  2. Medi-Cal

    The state Medi-Cal Program is administered through the county Department of Health and Human Services, Social Services Branch. Medi-Cal serves low-income individuals and families.

  3. General Relief

    The General Relief Program is a county-funded general assistance program for indigent county residents that offers repayable benefits.

  4. Transportation Assistance Program

    The purpose of the program is to assist individuals and families who can be better served by relocating to a destination that provides a reconnection to family or friends or with employment opportunities that will lead to self-sufficiency.

  5. Adult Protective Services

    Adult Protective Services (APS) provides protective services to elders (65 and older) and dependent adults (18-64) who are unable to protect their own interests or to care for themselves.

  6. In-Home Supportive Services

    In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is a program directed by the California Department of Social Services that provides aid to blind, aged, and disabled individuals who are unable to remain safely in their own home without the aid of a care provider.
